BRYNCADNO HELEDD (2009)

Roedd Meirion yn hanner cant eleni a phan welais Hedydd penderfynais ei phrynu fel anrheg penblwydd iddo. Dyma'r ceffyl cyntaf i ni ei brynu ac rwyn gobeithio fod Meirion yn bles!

Meirion was 50 earlier this year, so as a treat, I brought Hedydd for him. As this is the only cob we have ever brought I hope Meirion is pleased!

GWYNFAES DILYN Y SEREN (2008)

Dyma eboles ddu â phedair coes wen wrth ein march ifanc Custennin. Roedd oriau cyntaf Seren yn rhai anodd iawn a bron i ni ei cholli ond ers yr oriau hynny mae wedi goleuo pob cae mae ynddi. Mae Seren yn aros yma yn Gwynfaes.

Here is a stunning black filly with four even white socks from our young stallion Custennin. During her first few we almost lost her but ever since she has lit up every field she is in. Seren is staying here at Gwynfaes.

GWYNFAES EBEN (2008)

Ebol du â phedair hosan wen gyson. Fel y gwelwch yn y llun, mae gan Eben ben pert iawn ac agswrn tebyg. Os ydych yn edrych am ebol i'r dyfodol dewch i weld Eben.

A black colt with four even little white socks. As you can see in the picture, Eben is a beautiful colt with bone to match. If you are looking for a future colt then Eben is certainly worth a look.

GWYNFAES TOMOS (2008)

Ebol coch â thair hosan wen ac yn symudwr da. Mae Tomos yn ebol o safon ond yn anffodus byddwn yn ei werthu eleni gan fod Culhwch, Custennin, Noah a Y Gof gennym yn barod yma yn Gwynfaes.

A bay colt with three white socks and a good mover. Tomos is a quality colt but unfortunately he is for sale as we have Culhwch, Custennin, Noah and Y Gof here at Gwynfaes and we really cannot keep another colt.

GWYNFAES SARAN (2007)

Dyma eboles gyntaf Sara allan o Culhwch. Fel y mae'r lluniau yn cyfleu, mae ganddi pen hyfryd a chorff siapus iawn. Fel y disgwyl, mae ganddi'r asgwrn ac mae'n medru symud fel y byddech yn disgwyl o eboles wrth Culhwch.

Saran is the first filly out of Sara and Culhwch. Bay with two even small whites. She has the quality bone and the freeflowing movement that you would expect from a Culhwch filly. Saran has a lovely temperament.

GWYNFAES BRYTHONWEN (2007)

Allan a'r baneri, cafodd Sioned EBOLES!!! Felly, dyma hi, eboles ddu â phedair hosan fach wen ac mae'n eboles sy'n aros yma yn Gwynfaes.

Flags out - Sioned had a FILLY!! - She's black, she got four little white socks and she's a real beauty and she's staying her at Gwynfaes.

GWYNFAES MARGED (2007)

Dyma eboles arbennig iawn wrth Gwynfaes Custennin. Fel y gwelwch mae'n, smart iawn, corff a hanner ac yn symudwraig o fri. Os ydych am gyfle i brynu eboles ddwy oed o'r radd flaenaf, dyma un i chi ystyried.

Here is a very smart black filly out of Gwynfaes Custennin. As you can see, she's full of presence and upstanding - black with three white socks. If you are looking for a potential broodmare with plenty of substance that can motor across the field, then this one is well worth a look.

Dyma ebol olaf Seren Olaf. Mae rhywbeth arbennig iawn amdano i ni. Llynedd, bu yn llwyddiannus iawn mewn sioeau lleol gan ddod yn is-bencampwr yr Adran D yn Sioe Sir Benfro, 2il yng Nghlanusk 2009 ac yn is-bencampwr Adran D a phencampwr y stoc ifanc yn Sioe'r Gymdeithas Caerfyrddin 2009. Daeth yn 4ydd yn y Sioe Frenhinol gan fod yn un o bedwar a gyfranodd tuag at Culhwch yn ennill tlws Yeomans unwaith eto.

Y Gof is the very last foal we had from our much admired foundation mare Seren Olaf. He is a rich dark bay with four even white socks and a star. Big, upstanding, smart, and 'what are you doing in MY field attitude'. He was reserve Section D champion at Pembrokeshire Show 2008, 2nd Glanusk Stallion Show 2009 and reserve Section D champion and Youngstock champion at Carmarthen Association 2009. We took him to the Royal Welsh and we pleased with his 4th place. He was one of the prizewinners that contributed to Culhwch winning the Yeomans Plague again.

GWYNFAES GWAWRWEN (2006)

Dyma'r eboles gyntaf allan o Culhwch a Goleuddydd ac felly mae'n chwaer llawn i Matholwch, Custennin, Manawydan a Gilfaethwy. Mae'n medru symud fel y byddech yn disgwyl o eboles wrth Culhwch a mae ganddi coese sbesial (geiriau Meirion). [Llun ohoni a Madog 2006]

Gwawrwen is the first filly out of Culhwch and Goleuddydd making her a full sister to Matholwch, Custennin, Manawydan and Gilfaethwy. She again has the freeflowing movement that you would expect from a Culhwch filly and has legs to die for (Meirion's words!). [Pictured here with Madog 2006]

GWYNFAES CUSTENNIN (2003)

ENILLYDD MEDAL ARIAN/ SILVER MEDAL WINNER

Ebol coch â thair coes wen. Fel y gwelwch mae Custennin yn frawd llawn i Matholwch, Manawydan, Gilfaethwy, Gwawrwen a Taliesin. Dyma ebol sy'n meddu ar y rhinweddau sy'n bwysig i ni yn Gwynfaes - asgwrn o safon, symudiad cywir ac anian ardderchog. Daeth yn bumed yn y Sioe Frenhinol - y tro cyntaf iddo adael y clos ac yn bumed yn Sioe Meirch Llanbed 2006. Uchafbwynt 2006 i Custennin oedd ennill medal arian yn Sioe y Siroedd Unedig. Mae ein diolch i Daniel Hughes, Bridfa Ionos am gynhyrchu a dangos Custennin mor llwyddiannus yn ystod 2006 gan ennill mewn nifer o sioeau.

Ar dechrau'r 2007, treuliodd Custennin chwe wythnos gyda Sara Ackers yn cael ei dorri i fynd dan gyfrwy. Ganwyd dwy eboles hyfryd iawn yma yn 2007 a Gwynfaes Dilyn Seren yn 2008.

Ar hyn o bryd mae Custennin yn treulio'r ddwy flwynedd nesaf ar les gyda Hattie Cook yn cystadlu mewn dosbarthiadau marchogaeth. Yn barod, mae Custennin wedi ennill yn dosbarth Kingsford M&M Adran C/D yn Ponies(UK) Winter Championship South.

Ond heb os nac oni bai, ei lwyddiant pennaf oedd yn y Sioe Frenhinol 2009. Enillodd Custenin Dosbarth y Cobiau Cymreig yn y 'Ridden Mountain & Moorland Pony of the Year - Horse of the Year Show Qualifier' ac ar ben hyn fe aeth ymlaen i fod yn Is-bencampwr yr adran Mountain & Moorland. Y trueni mwyaf oedd ein bod wedi gorfod mynd adref i odro cyn y dosbarth! Beth fedrwn ddweud ond diolch o galon i Hattie am yr hollwaith ac am gynhyrchu Custennin i shwd safon.

A bay colt with three white socks. We are very excited by all of Culhwch's foals and with Custennin in particular. He possesses the qualities that are so all important to a good Welsh cob - quality flat bone, straight movement and excellent temperament. The first time he ever left the yard was on Tuesday 20th July 2004 for the Royal Welsh - he was fifth and we were very proud of him. He was also fifth at Lampeter Stallion Show 2005 & 2006. We wish to thank Daniel Hughes of the Ionos Stud for producing and showing Custennin so successfully this year. Custennin and Daniel won in several shows with the highlight being winning the WPCS silver medal at the United Counties Show ( Caleb and I were there!!). Thanks again Daniel, you had a real rapor with Custennin.

At the beginning of 2007, Custennin spent six weeks with Sara Ackers being broken to ride. When have had two fillies from him in 2007 and a spectacular black filly with four whites in 2008.

It appears at the moment that Custennin will spent the next two year on lease with Hattie Cook, competing in ridden classes. He has already won the Kingsford M&M ridden C/D class at Ponies(UK) Winter Championship South 2009.

But undoubtedly his greatest success was at the Royal Welsh Show 2009, when he won The Ridden Mountain & Moorland Pony of the Year - Horse of the Year Show Qualifier - Welsh Cob Section D class. He then topped this by also being awarded the Reserve Champion for the Mountain & Moorland section. What a pity we missed the classas Meirion had to get home to do the milking! What can we say but our sincere thanks to Hattie for producing him so beautifully.
